Texting for wellness: can simple messages help new moms get mental health care?

NCT ID NCT05764213

Summary

This study is testing if a text message-based screening and referral program helps pregnant and postpartum women attend and stay in treatment for mental health or substance use issues better than the standard in-person screening method. Over 10,000 participants who are pregnant and receiving prenatal care at specific clinics are involved. The research compares how many women actually start and continue treatment between the two different screening approaches.
