New shot tested to block deadly tetanus infection

NCT ID NCT05625477

Summary

This study tested a new antibody injection called TNM002 to see if it could help prevent tetanus, a serious bacterial infection. Researchers compared it to the standard protective shot (human tetanus immunoglobulin) and a placebo in 240 healthy Chinese adults. The main goal was to see if TNM002 raised protective antibody levels as well as or better than the standard shot and to check its safety.
