Scientists test if 'Cleaned' blood stays safe in patients

NCT ID NCT07152379

Summary

This study is testing a special type of treated red blood cells designed to be safer from pathogens. Researchers want to see if patients who already have antibodies to these treated cells have bad reactions or clear the cells too fast after a transfusion. They will compare these patients to others without the antibodies to understand the risks.
