Portable pumps could free nurses and patients from IV drip stands
NCT ID NCT05150015
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether portable, wearable pumps could safely deliver antibiotics to patients in the hospital. The goal was to see if these pumps, often used at home, could save nurses time, reduce hospital costs, and let patients move around more easily. Researchers gathered feedback from 9 patients and staff to decide if a larger trial would be worthwhile.
