Summary
This study is testing whether short electrical pulses applied to the inner ear can be heard by patients during their ear surgery. It involves 18 adults who are already scheduled for certain ear procedures and are awake during the operation. The goal is to gather basic information about how the ear responds to electrical stimulation, which could help guide future research into hearing restoration devices.
