No more dots: cameras could revolutionize how we track movement
NCT ID NCT06544824
Summary
This study tested a new, simpler way to analyze walking patterns using only video cameras, comparing it to the complex, standard method that requires sticking reflective markers on the body. Researchers worked with 25 children and adults, some with movement disorders, to see if the camera system could accurately measure steps and joint angles. The goal is to make detailed movement analysis easier and more accessible, especially for kids, to potentially improve future treatments.
