Scientists test Last-Line antibiotic against 'Superbug'

NCT ID NCT07369518

Summary

This study aims to understand how well the antibiotic ceftazidime-avibactam works against a dangerous, drug-resistant bacteria called Klebsiella pneumoniae. Researchers will collect samples from 100 hospital patients with infections and test the bacteria in the lab. The main goal is to see if this antibiotic can kill these hard-to-treat bacteria and to learn more about their resistance genes.
