Smart bandage sensor aims to take guesswork out of leg swelling treatment

NCT ID NCT06438133

Summary

This study tested a new sensor designed to help doctors monitor leg swelling in patients receiving compression bandage therapy. Fifty-two patients with chronic leg swelling wore the sensor for 14 days during their usual treatment. The goal was to see if the sensor could accurately measure how well the compression bandages were working to reduce swelling.
