Can a machine count breaths better than a doctor?

NCT ID NCT07299968

Summary

This study aims to see if a new monitor can measure breathing rate more accurately than manual counting in the emergency room. Researchers will compare the monitor's readings against counts done by trained doctors and nurses on 170 adult patients. The goal is to find a more reliable way to track this vital sign, which is crucial for spotting when a patient's condition is getting worse.
