This study tested whether a TENS unit, a device that uses mild electrical pulses to relieve pain, can reduce pain during and after laminaria placement for second-trimester abortion. 36 participants used either a TENS unit or a placebo device alongside standard care. The goal was to see if the TENS unit lowers pain scores without using extra medication.
