Summary
This study tested whether a TENS unit, a small electrical device you can buy without a prescription, helps reduce pain for people having a second-trimester abortion. Researchers compared the pain levels of 36 participants who used the TENS unit along with standard pain care against those who received standard care plus a fake (placebo) device. The goal was to see if this non-drug option could make the process more comfortable.
