First seen Dec 09, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests whether a 15-minute session of TENS (a device that sends mild electrical pulses through the skin) can quickly reduce muscle stiffness and pain in people with chronic neck pain. 24 adults with neck pain for at least 6 weeks will be randomly assigned to receive real TENS or a sham treatment. Changes in stiffness and pain are measured right before and after the session.
