Zapping knee pain: can a simple device ease recovery after surgery?
NCT ID NCT07155837
Summary
This study is testing if a TENS device, which uses low-voltage electrical currents, can help manage pain in the first 24 hours after total knee replacement surgery. It will compare pain levels and recovery factors like sleep and movement between a group receiving TENS treatment and a group receiving standard care. The goal is to see if this non-drug method can improve early recovery outcomes for patients.
