NCT ID NCT07170839
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding a specific exercise routine to shock wave therapy helps people with tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis). Forty adults aged 39-65 with elbow pain lasting over 8 weeks were split into three groups: shock wave therapy alone, shock wave plus eccentric exercises, or shock wave plus combined isotonic exercises. They did supervised exercises three days a week and shock wave once a week for five weeks. The researchers measured pain, grip strength, and arm function to see which approach worked best.
