Scientists probe tendon changes behind bunions

NCT ID NCT07327112

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study compares tendon stiffness in 90 adults—45 with bunions (hallux valgus) and 45 healthy volunteers—using ultrasound to measure the front ankle tendon. Researchers aim to see if tendon changes contribute to the deformity, which could guide better treatments. Participants must be 18 or older and able to have an ultrasound.
