New drug trial aims to ease Kids' stomach pain and constipation

Summary
This study is testing a drug called tenapanor to see if it is safe and can help children aged 6 to 12 who have irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C). About 72 children will be randomly assigned to receive either the study drug or a placebo (a pill with no medicine) for four weeks. Researchers will measure changes in how often children have bowel movements and their levels of abdominal pain.
