First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests whether a proactive temperature management plan can reduce postoperative delirium (sudden confusion) in 174 adults undergoing cytoreductive surgery with heated chemotherapy for pseudomyxoma peritonei, a rare abdominal cancer. Participants will be randomly assigned to either strict temperature control or standard care. The goal is to see if keeping body temperature stable helps protect brain function after this complex procedure.
