Can a website beat a brochure for back pain relief?
NCT ID NCT07501910
First seen Apr 02, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested whether a web-based exercise program with remote monitoring works better than a simple printed brochure for people with lumbar disc herniation (a slipped disc in the lower back). 46 adults with this condition followed a 4-week home exercise plan, either through a website or using paper instructions. Researchers measured pain, disability, quality of life, and back muscle strength before and after the program to see which approach helped more.
