First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at whether evaluating psychiatric patients via video link instead of waiting for a doctor to arrive in person can reduce emergency room time and violent incidents. Researchers will compare data from about 959 patients who were evaluated by video to similar patients from the past. The goal is to see if video evaluations are a safe and acceptable way to speed up care.
