Smart patch aims to catch chemo fevers early in vulnerable kids
NCT ID NCT06697262
Summary
This small pilot study is testing whether a wearable device that monitors a child's temperature at home is practical and acceptable for families. It focuses on children receiving chemotherapy who are at risk of dangerous feirs due to low white blood cell counts, and whose families face extra social challenges. Researchers will compare the device to standard nurse visits to see if parents find it helpful and easy to use.
