First seen May 21, 2026 · Last updated Jun 02, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looked at whether using telemedicine—like video rounds with a specialist and checklists from a remote team—could help patients in intensive care units (ICUs) leave the hospital faster. Over 22,000 patients in Brazil took part. The goal was to see if these virtual tools improve care and shorten time in the ICU.
