Can a video call calm a Caregiver's nerves?

NCT ID NCT06313879

Summary

This study tested whether providing online education to parents of young children with hydrocephalus (a brain fluid condition) and a surgically implanted shunt (a drainage tube) could reduce the parents' anxiety and increase their confidence in caregiving. Researchers worked with 59 parents, randomly assigning some to receive the special online training while others did not. The goal was to see if learning more about their child's condition and care through a computer or phone could make parents feel less stressed and more capable.
