Summary
This study tested whether a structured phone call with a nurse before cataract surgery could help reduce patients' anxiety and improve their recovery. 128 patients were randomly assigned to either receive this special counseling call or the standard pre-surgery instructions. Researchers then measured anxiety levels and tracked how well patients followed care instructions after their surgery.
