First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at how the antibiotic telavancin gets into the brain fluid of 20 critically ill adults who have a brain bleed and a drain in their head. Participants will receive three doses of telavancin, and researchers will measure the drug levels in their blood and brain fluid. The goal is to understand how well the drug reaches the central nervous system, not to treat a specific infection.
