Summary
This study aimed to improve treatment for teens with substance use disorders by figuring out what makes treatment work best. Researchers tested whether focusing more intensely on teaching parents better management skills could lead to better outcomes for their teens. They compared a standard treatment program to an enhanced version with extra parenting support for 129 teens over 12 months.
