Summary

This study compares two ways of helping new mothers spot and treat health problems early: in-person visits versus text messages and phone calls. About 2,900 women on Medicaid in South Carolina will take part. The goal is to see if the technology-based approach reduces emergency department visits in the first six weeks after childbirth.
