First seen Apr 13, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tested whether a non-needle acupoint stimulation technique (TEAS) can prevent pain when children receive propofol, a common anesthesia drug. Sixty children aged 6-13 having elective surgery were included. Researchers measured pain reactions using a behavioral scale, comparing those who received TEAS to those who did not.
