Quick clinic treatment tested for dry eye relief
NCT ID NCT03006978
Summary
This small, completed pilot study compared a single 12-minute in-office eyelid treatment (TearCare) to 4 weeks of daily 5-minute warm compress therapy for adults with dry eye disease. The goal was to see if the brief TearCare procedure was a safe and effective alternative to the standard daily home routine. Researchers followed 24 participants for 6 months to measure changes in eye comfort and tear film stability.
