Summary
This study tested whether the TearCare system, a device that applies controlled heat to the eyelids, works as well as or better than Restasis eye drops for treating dry eye disease. It involved 345 adults with moderate to severe dry eye symptoms. Researchers compared how much each treatment improved patients' eye comfort and the stability of their tears over six months.
