First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This small pilot study tested the TearCare system, a device that applies heat to the eyelids, in 24 adults with dry eye disease. The goal was to see if it safely improves tear film stability and meibomian gland function. Results suggest the device may help ease dry eye symptoms, but larger studies are needed to confirm.
