Device trial aims to ease dry eye discomfort

NCT ID NCT03502447

Summary

This study tested whether the TearCare System device works better than standard warm compress treatment for relieving dry eye symptoms. It involved people with diagnosed dry eye disease who regularly use eye drops for relief. The trial was terminated early with only 14 participants instead of the planned 200, so results are limited.
