Warm hold test: can extra heat unclog dry eye glands better?
NCT ID NCT07365735
Summary
This study is testing if adding a 10-minute warm hold period makes the TearCare eyelid treatment more effective for dry eye. About 20 adults with dry eye due to blocked eyelid glands will receive the standard TearCare treatment, with half also getting the extra warm hold. Researchers will measure the quality of oil released from the glands after treatment to see which approach works better.
