Teaching back: a new way to help trauma patients remember?

NCT ID NCT05616312

First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a 'teach-back' education method helps people who had surgery for broken bones remember important details about their injury and treatment. About 216 participants will either receive this extra education or standard care. Researchers will measure how much patients recall, how well they follow instructions (like weight-bearing limits), and how satisfied they are with their care.
