Natural oil tested as potential burn healer
NCT ID NCT07149844
Summary
This small, early-stage study compared a natural remedy—tea tree oil ointment—to the standard silver-based dressing for treating second-degree burns. It involved 30 adult patients with recent burns, split into two groups to see which treatment led to better wound healing and less infection over 21 days. The goal was to see if this natural option could be a useful alternative for managing burn wounds.
