First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests a non-invasive device that sends mild electrical pulses to acupoints on the skin to relieve heartburn in people with non-erosive reflux disease (NERD). About 204 adults with frequent heartburn but no visible esophagus damage will receive either real or sham stimulation for 4 weeks. The goal is to see if this drug-free approach increases heartburn-free days.
