Brain brew: can tea and coffee compounds sharpen focus for ADHD and autism?

NCT ID NCT07189442

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether a combination of two natural compounds found in tea and coffee—L-theanine and paraxanthine—can temporarily improve focus, attention, and thinking in adults with ADHD or autism. Researchers will use brain scans and thinking tests to compare the effects of this combination against a placebo. The goal is to explore a potential low-cost, complementary option to help manage cognitive symptoms.
