New TB drug combo enters phase 2 trial – hope for shorter treatment?

Summary

This study tests whether adding a new drug called TBD09 to standard TB medicines is safe and works better at killing TB bacteria. About 150 adults with drug-sensitive pulmonary TB will take part. The goal is to see if the combination can clear the infection faster and with fewer side effects.
