Vaccine boost tested to speed up tuberculosis recovery

NCT ID NCT04919239

Summary

This study tested whether adding a therapeutic vaccine called RUTI® to standard tuberculosis (TB) drug treatment helps patients clear the infection more effectively. It involved 140 adults with either regular or drug-resistant TB who had already started their medication. The goal was to see if the vaccine, given as an extra treatment, could help patients become infection-free faster.
