First seen May 22, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at whether a new skin test (C-TST) can accurately find latent (hidden) tuberculosis (TB) infections in people who live with or are close to TB patients. Researchers tested 300 adults aged 18 to 65 in Indonesia and compared the skin test results to standard blood tests. The goal was to see if the skin test is a safe and effective alternative for diagnosing latent TB.
