New study: can a tiny tube replace Open-Heart surgery for aortic stenosis in 65-75 year olds?

Summary
This study compares two treatments for severe aortic stenosis (a narrowed heart valve) in people aged 65 to 75. One is a less invasive procedure called TAVR, which uses a tube to place a new valve. The other is traditional open-heart surgery. The goal is to see if TAVR is as safe and effective as surgery. About 1,180 participants will be followed for one year to check for death, stroke, or other serious events.
