First seen Mar 28, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tests whether a combination of two gentle brain stimulation techniques (taVNS and tACS) can reduce self-injury and impulsivity in 90 adolescents aged 12-18 who engage in non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI). Participants will receive either the combined treatment or tACS alone over 14 sessions. The goal is to see if the combined approach works better and more consistently, and to identify early signs of improvement.
