Summary

This study tested whether a gentle electrical pulse on the ear (taVNS) can change how brain regions talk to each other at rest. Researchers used a brain scanner (fNIRS) on 84 people — some who had a stroke over 6 months ago and some healthy volunteers. They compared real stimulation to a fake version to see if the ear pulse had a unique effect on brain networks.
