Heart valve surgery study questions need for routine Pre-Op scan

Summary
This study is testing if patients with a severely narrowed heart valve can safely skip a routine pre-surgery scan of their heart arteries before getting a TAVI valve replacement. About 620 patients in Europe will be randomly assigned to either get the standard scan or skip it, as long as they don't have specific chest pain symptoms. The goal is to see if avoiding this extra procedure is just as safe and effective, potentially reducing risks and simplifying care.
