First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tests whether taking taurine can prevent or reduce severe mouth sores caused by radiation therapy in people with nasopharyngeal cancer. About 130 adults will be randomly assigned to receive taurine or standard care during their radiation treatment. The goal is to see if taurine lowers the chance of developing painful sores that can make eating and drinking difficult.
