New drug combo aims to extend life in rare, aggressive gut cancers

Summary
This study tests a drug called tarlatamab, which helps the immune system find and attack cancer cells, in people with advanced neuroendocrine carcinomas of the digestive system or unknown origin. About 87 adults will receive tarlatamab alone or with standard chemotherapy. The goal is to see if this approach can slow cancer growth and improve survival.
