Summary
This study tests whether adding a drug that blocks a cancer cell survival process (autophagy) can make standard TACE therapy work better for liver cancer. TACE cuts off blood supply to the tumor, but cancer cells often survive by eating themselves. The new approach aims to kill more cancer cells and boost the immune system. About 93 adults with liver cancer that cannot be surgically removed will participate.
