Precision radiation aims to make leukemia transplants safer

NCT ID NCT06209190

Summary

This study tested a new, more targeted form of radiation (TMLI) used to prepare patients for a stem cell transplant for acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). The goal was to see if this method was safe and feasible, aiming to keep the cancer-fighting benefits of radiation while reducing damage to healthy tissues. It involved 14 patients aged 16-45 with ALL who were receiving a transplant from a donor.
