First seen Jan 31, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tested a precise surgical technique for teeth that still have infection after root canal treatment. Using 3D-printed guides based on CT scans, dentists removed infected tissue more accurately than with traditional freehand methods. The trial included 50 adults and measured pain, quality of life, and healing over time. Results suggest the guided approach may reduce surgery time and improve recovery.
