3D-Printed guides aim to make complex root surgeries faster and safer
NCT ID NCT06643676
Summary
This study tested a new, more precise method for performing surgery on infected tooth roots in lower back teeth. It compared a technique using a custom 3D-printed surgical guide to the standard 'freehand' method. Researchers measured how the surgery affected patients' quality of life and how well the bone around the tooth healed afterward.
