UK launches major trial to repurpose cancer drugs for rare genetic mutations

Summary
This UK trial is testing whether existing targeted cancer drugs can help patients with rare cancers or common cancers that have rare genetic mutations. The study will enroll 825 adults, teenagers, and children whose cancer has progressed after standard treatments and has a specific genetic change that might respond to these drugs. If successful, the goal is to make these treatments available through the NHS for patients with these rare conditions.
